How to use

Dilution factor

Target Pest Method of Application Dilution Rate Application Rate
Cockroaches Direct spray 10ml of BROBUSTER 5 SC per 1000ml water (1L) 50ml of the diluted solution per m²
Surface residual spray 5ml of BROBUSTER 5 SC per 1000ml water (1L) 50ml of the diluted solution per m²

Spray frequency

In view of insecticide resistance management, it is highly recommended to use BROBUSTER™ and a different class of pesticide by turns.

Strong Water Fastness

Test method

①Insecticides were sprayed on tiles (0.5 ml of diluted solution of each insecticide on 100㎠ tile) and those tiles were soaked in water for 8 hours and subsequently stored in a drying machine for 16 hours.

②10 Blattella germanica females were released onto each tile

③The mortality rate of the cockroaches was observed seven days after the release

(Mitsui Chemicals Crop & Life Solutions, Inc., Yasu Laboratory, 2020 )

Long residual efficacy : Lab. study

Test method

①Insecticides were sprayed on decorative plywood (0.5 ml of diluted solution of each insecticide on 100㎠ tile) .

②10 Blattella germanica females were released onto each plywood.

③The mortality rate of the cockroaches was observed one day and 3 months after the release

(Mitsui Chemicals Crop & Life Solutions, Inc., Yasu Laboratory, 2017)

Long residual efficacy : Field

Trial site:Kitchen in a noodle restaurant in Tokyo (24㎡)

Application method:Surface residual spray (50 ml/㎡)

Target pest:Blattella germanica which have developed resistance to pyrethroid and organophosphate

Low Lethal Dose for Insects

Highly Transmissible

Test method

①10 Blattella germanica (♀5 + ♂5) were made to contact pesticide residue for 1 hour

②The treated cockroaches from step 1 were released into a box which had 30 untreated cockroaches (♀15 + ♂15)

③Seven days after the release of the treated cockroaches, the mortality rate of the untreated cockroaches in step 2 was observed.

No Repellency

Test method

①A piece of plywood was sprayed with an insecticide. (The tested insecticides are BROBUSTER™ 5 SC and Cyphenothrin 5%EC.)

②After the plywood was dried, 10♀+10♂ cockroaches were released into the box in which the sprayed plywood and a piece of non-treated plywood had already been placed as shown in the picture.

③Three days after the cockroaches were released, the mortality rate of the cockroaches was observed.
